  • acted for TechLink International Entertainment Limited in a patent infringement action relating to responsible gaming systems for video lottery terminals.
  • have been retained by TMX Inc. to provide patent advice in relation to high frequency trading and latency arbitrage.
  • acted for International Control Systems in two patent infringement actions against Best Buy Canada Ltd (Court File No. T-1653-11) and Haier America Trading LLC (Court file No. T-1654-11) for technology related to TV volume regulation.
  • act as appellate counsel for MediaTube Inc. in a patent infringement suit against Bell Canada related to internet protocol television (Court File No. A-35-17).
  • acted for Biotronik Canada Inc. in defending against and successfully settling allegations of patent infringement brought by Atlas IP LLC for technology related to medium access control protocols for wireless networks (Court File No. T-1602-15)
  • acted for ITC Systems Inc., an international company specializing in cashless Integrated Transaction Control Systems, in defending and ultimately settling a claim for patent infringement.
  • acted for Kudelski S.A., OpenTV Corp., and Nagravision S.A. in a patent infringement suit against Shaw Communications Inc. with respect to IPTV, Pay-for-View, Video-on-Demand and security technology (Court File No. T-262-17).
  • acted for Research in Motion successfully asserting patent infringement by Visto Corporation of three of RIM’s patents related to push email technology (Court File No. T-1105-06).
  • acted for Two Way Media Ltd in a patent infringement suit against Bell Canada and Telus Communications Company related to network architectures within Internet protocol television (IPTV) systems (Court File No. T-809-14).
  • acted for Global Traffic Technologies in a patent infringement action involving smart traffic lights (Court File No. T-736-11).
