Aitken Klee LLP was established in 2013 when David Aitken and Marcus Klee left Oslers in Ottawa to set up their own IP litigation boutique. Aitken Klee immediately received accolades following the historic victory of its named partners in the landmark 2012 decision of the Supreme Court of Canada holding the patent for Viagra® invalid. The firm expanded to Toronto in 2014 with the addition of seasoned IP litigators Jonathan Stainsby, Bill Mayo and Lesley Caswell, winners of the 2007 Canadian IP case of the year.
